I was expecting ekphrasis and I get photographs. Not that photographs aren't enjoyable too.I dislike fireworks as well. I managed to spend the fourth of July without them this year. I highly recommend it.
Out of curiosity, why do you hate fireworks?
I guess because I'm a foolish pacifist, one who finds the celebration of gunpowder expensive and foolish. Or maybe because I'm old and they hurt my ears. Or, more likely, I am predisposed to dislike what others enjoy. Hard to say.dw
